YUMMY SUNDAY: FISH & SQUID BALLS PLUS TEMPURA

This is perhaps my favorite street food that i like to eat indoors. I find eating on the crowded  street unsafe and unhealthy, especially when there are vehicles passing by armed with poisonous gases that they emit and the smoke and dust to go with every flow of traffic… Not to mention, being robbed while enjoying this measly treat. You may save a lot on your snack but later realize that your month’s salary was already slashed from your pocket, or your bag or jewelries snatched without you knowing or realizing it…

I like the hot and spicy sauce to go with this treat…

Honeymooner’s Read This!

Are you thinking of a grand Honeymoon Escape? Or are you yet planning your honeymoon getaway after your wedding? Whichever, I would like to share with you some of my insightful readings and research..

Recently, I read about people having a grand riviera maya honeymoon and perfect weddings. What with the beautiful beaches and matching sunrise and sunsets that spell romance in day or night time.. But of course, when you are with the person you love, romance will always be in the air.  However, when you and your partner are in  the secluded white-sand beaches on the Mexican Riviera Maya, it would be far from what you can imagine..

There are many hotels in the area but one of the most talked about is Karisma Hotels, which is a collection of really beautiful properties. Karisma’s five signature resorts are a). El Dorado Royale Spa Resort which is for adults only, b). El Dorado Seaside Suites also exclusive for adults, c). Azul Beach the best for families young and old because it is family-friendly and of course, d). Azul Blue, another family-friendly resort which opened in November 2006 and last but definitely not the least, e). Hidden Beach Resort, a naturalist’s haven….

They also boast of great food and amenities that will really make anyone want to live there instead…

So if you think about romance and style, great food and great relaxation, think of the place I mentioned here.. It may be your escape soon..

In The Spirit of Gift Giving…

This is rather too late if we talk about gift giving during the Christmas season. But I guess if I am to sum up the topic, it does not only have to affect the Christmas season but our day to day acts of self giving or gift giving, for whatever occasion we plan to give. To some, gift giving is as easy as buying a personalized duffle bag or a laundry bag or even an insulated lunch tote, or Barbie dolls or toy cars or robots, or anything that we can get our hands on. The moment we start putting them inside a box, wrap them with some fancy paper or gift wrappers and tie them with matching ribbons and all other adornments, we are actually setting the tone for gift giving… Doesn’t really matter what’s in the box, or should it matter? Hmm..

Last Christmas, I have received a few good “giftables”. And I know for a fact that some of them were recycled gifts, lol… Well, I didn’t really mind. It’s the thought that counts. Besides that, maybe the person had no use of the said gift in their household, that is why she simply replaced the ribbon and the card and gave it away. So there it sat in the cupboard, still in its box, lol.. NO, I am not planning to give it as a gift, hehehe… That loses value of the giver’s efforts if I do that.  But every time I see it, I am reminded that the giver did not really give any effort, unlike how I do with my prepared tokens for the people I care for..  Ah.. Maybe she just had not enough budget for gift giving.. Or worse, maybe she didn’t like the gift that is why she had to give it away to rid herself of such possession. Tsk.. tsk.. tsk.. Not so good thoughts here… I know, I know.. And like what I said, it’s okay. I just feel it was so insincere of the person to give it away. Unfair on my part, and unfair on the person who gave the gift to her…

But let me give you a paradigm shift of the situation. What if she really wanted the gift but felt she does not deserve to have it that’s why she gave it away…  That sometimes happens you know…

Anyway, in the spirit of giving, still I think the gift is great.. Thanks so much!

First Post For 2010…

People in our neighborhood had fun as we welcomed the year 2010 yesterday morn. Smoke from the firecrackers and the noise created were totally persistent. Ours were anchored on the Metal Shed in the garden, and was lighted using a stick with a candle on the tip, lol.. Safety first! But sinec it was a Metal Garden Shed, I worried because it went warm when we touched it later on..But, it was okay moments after.

So anyway, it was really a blessing to have metal sheds to keep stuff intact and neat. Less troubles and less worries whether they will get burned or not. After all, we hear lots of stories about fires during times when firecrackers are used.

After the merry making, we proceeded and feasted on what we have at the table…It was such a great New Year welcome.. we had our manito manita and danced….

How about you? How did you welcome the New Year?

What relationships laws are necessary in keeping a relationship? Hmm.. If there is a law for everything, surely relationships is not an exemption… yup.. and it has nothing to do with the legalities in marriage or the family law.. It’s way different… I guess if you will know the 10 laws in relationships then you will come prepared to meet everything that comes to challenge it..
